Link Gallery Information 23rd Annual Juried Exhibit and Master's Presentation.
The Juried Exhibit will be at the Link Gallery, 3926 Highway 42, Fish Creek (in the Door Community Auditorium) Thursday, June 11th – Monday, August 3rd. The entry fee is $20 for one 2-dimensional piece (drawings, paintings, photographs, handmade prints) with a maximum limit of 30 X 40 inches (including frame) or one 3- dimensional piece (ceramics, sculptures, fiber art, woodworking, mixed media) or one piece or one set (e.g., earrings and matching necklace) of jewelry. 3-D art (unless it's a hanging piece) and jewelry must be able to be displayed in the Link’s wall-hung glass case.
Drop-off will be Thursday, June 11th, from 1 – 3 PM or 5 – 6 PM. The opening reception is scheduled for Sunday, June 14th, from 1 – 3 PM, at which time three $100 Awards of Excellence will be given, along with six Honorable Mention Awards with gift certificates and one People’s Choice Award with a gift certificate. The Show Judge is our own 2008 Master Artist, Ed Fenendael!
The 2009 Door County Master Artist will be honored at the reception. The Master Artist must have publicly recognized talents, a body of work representing a high level of achievement in his or her field, and must have contributed significantly to the arts in Door County through community involvement, teaching, and/or promoting the arts. Other Masters include Isabel Beaudoin, Jack and Sue Anderson, Franne Dickinson, and Gerhard Miller, just to name a few. At the opening reception, refreshments will be served and attendees will be treated to the music of classical guitarist Steve Lavell. In addition, the “glass quilt” that several members worked on at the February meeting, thanks to Doug and Barbara Henderson, will be raffled off at the reception.

Dates: Friday, July 17: Setup double tents you are assigned space for after 4PM or: Saturday, July 18: Setup 6AM-8AM. Check at food counter for space assignment. Open 10AM-5PM. Someone needs to close up tent. Members bring artwork after 8AM. Option: Jan Forkert will take your work for you if you can’t make it. Please have Your name, name of artpiece, medium, price, and phone number on back of piece. You will also need a label with into on. Work must be ready to hang! Coming from the south, go half way down the “Grandview Motel hill until you see a road going only to the left which is Hillside Drive. Go .6 miles on Hillside Drive to 1904 fire number or sign on driveway entrance saying Reef Haven, Forkert. Sunday, July 18: Open 10AM to 4PM. Please pick up your work close to 4PM.
